Ted Sizemore was a skilled second baseman who played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball, primarily with the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago Cubs. A steady defender and reliable contact hitter, Sizemore earned the 1969 National League Rookie of the Year Award and was known for his consistency at the plate and in the field, finishing his career with a .246 batting average and 155 stolen bases. He was an integral part of the Cardinals' infield during their 1967 World Series championship season and was respected for his leadership and work ethic on and off the field.
