Introducing the Negro League 100 Series: 43 Limited Edition FC Goods wallets made from authentic vintage signature series baseball gloves, featuring the signatures of players who began their careers in the Negro Leagues.

This series was released in collaboration with the Negro League Baseball Museum Digital Art Show to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the Negro Leagues, and we at FC Goods consider it our privilege to be donating 50% of all profit from this series to the Negro League Baseball Museum in Kansas City, MO.

Our newest Limited Edition series pays homage to these heroes and the game that turned men into giants and then into legends: 82 individually-numbered, handcrafted wallets, each prominently displaying the name from a signature series glove.

Because they weren’t just baseball players to us. They were heroes. 

Maybe what we remember most are the uniforms. For better or for worse.

Or maybe it’s the hair. Especially the mustaches.

Or maybe it’s the utter dominance of a three-peat in Oakland and The Big Red Machine.

Whatever it is for you, here’s what we know for sure: the 70’s were an iconic decade of baseball– even for those of us who weren’t alive half a century ago when it started.

The newest Limited Edition series from FC Goods is our tribute to the time: 84 individually-numbered, handcrafted wallets made from the leather of baseball gloves our team dated to the 1970’s. 50 years ago it started, and we think it deserves celebrating. 

He was 5’7” and possessed neither speed nor power. Yet Nellie Fox went to 15 All-Star Games, won 3 Gold Gloves and an MVP award, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He is 28th all-time in hit-by-pitches, has the 11th-longest consecutive games played streak (first for a second baseman), and was the 3rd most difficult hitter to strikeout in baseball history.

How did he do it? How did this undersized slap-hitter turn himself into a 1950’s baseball icon and an all-time legend? Sheer, raw grit. Nellie Fox might just be the grittiest player who ever played the game.

This is The Nellie Fox Series: 63 Limited Edition, individually-numbered wallets, each made from a vintage Nellie Fox Signature Series glove. It’s our celebration of the man, and of the game played the way it was meant to be.

For this special Black Friday 2019 Handpicked release, we selected gloves that shared one particular design feature: each wallet is made from a black baseball glove.

There are only 50 wallets available in this series, and they are perhaps the most visually striking wallets we’ve ever created.

Before esophageal cancer led to “Dr. Greg” Luttrell’s sadly swift decline earlier this year, he was a passionate baseball fan and obsessive leatherworker who had collected 16 tubs of baseball gloves to craft into handmade leather goods.

So when his best friend reached out to us about acquiring the remaining gloves and carrying on his legacy, how could we say no?

Thus was born the Dr. Greg Limited Edition Series: 94 individually numbered, Limited Edition wallets, featuring dyed slices of full-grain steerhide– in honor of a man whose leather work and life were colorful to the end.
